Another Cat Embroidery project

By

This is the third embroidery project I’ve ever tackled. It came bundled in the same kit as my previous project, but I decided to put my own spin on it. The design originally featured a black cat, but I couldn’t resist customizing it to match my own gray kitty. That meant a special trip to pick up some fluffy gray thread, which, let’s just say, added a whole new level of texture to the piece.

Now, I’ll be honest—satin stitching a curvy, irregular shape is still a bit of a mystery to me. The result? Well, let’s just say my cat looks like a mummy. It’s still adorable in its own quirky way! I added the name myself.

It may not be perfect, but it’s mine—fluffy thread, mummy vibes, and all. And honestly, isn’t that what handmade art is all about?
